A Pantry-Cleaning Surprise
Sometimes the best recipes are born out of necessity. One rainy afternoon, I was cleaning out the pantry and found half a bag of kettle chips tucked behind the cereal boxes. Instead of tossing them, I crumbled them into cookie dough. The result? A salty-sweet masterpiece that disappeared before the tray had cooled. These Chocolate Chunk Kettle Chip Cookies prove that pantry treasures can turn into the most unforgettable treats.

Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks
2 cups kettle-cooked potato chips, lightly crushed
Flaky sea salt (optional, for sprinkling)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment.
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
Beat in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture.
Fold in chocolate chunks and crushed kettle chips, reserving some for topping.
Scoop 2-tablespoon balls of dough onto baking sheets. Press extra chips and chocolate on top.
Bake 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers soft.
Sprinkle with flaky sea salt, cool slightly, and enjoy!
✨ Crispy, chewy, salty, and sweet—these cookies are proof that sometimes a little pantry clean-out can lead to deliciously happy accidents.
